Hexham (Elvaston) Bowling Club
Welcome!
Welcome to the website of
Hexham Elvaston Bowling Club
in Northumberland.
Summer seems to have at last arrived and we have recently had some sweltering days on the green. This is just a reminder that the green is a real suntrap and it is wise to apply a sunscreen before playing. Take a bottle of water with you - we have some to purchase at the club - and if you are feeling unwell take shelter in the shade to recover. Stay safe.

First Place: Forest Hall - Paul Charlton, Fiona Charlton & Ann Stephenson

Second place: Whitley & Monkseaton - Christina Dawson, Bev Ware & Marysia Angrove

Our Open Triples competition was very enjoyable and well supported with 17 clubs represented by 24 teams. Our club volunteers did a splendid job welcoming, organising and feeding our guests and we have had many positive comments by competitors. We look forward to welcoming them back next year. Thank you also to our club 'reserve team' who came on the day to stand in just in case any team be unable to attend at the last minute. Our photo slide above shows our winning four teams and some views.

Members of all abilities are invited to come in to the clubhouse and look at the sign-up sheets on the notice boards for the league, fixture and date and enter their name on as many sheets as they feel able to commit to. Teams will be selected from the names entered on the sheets. Please don't be disappointed if you are not selected for every match you enter, it's good for as many as possible to have a go.
