First Taster Day

We were, ahem, bowled over by the excellent numbers of people from near and far who came along to try out bowls. We were impressed by how well everyone did. It's not easy to begin with, but by the end all showed a discernible improvement from the beginning of the session. Many stayed for tea and cake and a good chat, an essential part of bowling! Here is a photo from the day, lots more on the home page.

Green open

The green is open for practice and informal roll-ups. Do come along to enjoy our wonderful facilities.  As usual the green will be closed for maintenance each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 9.00am until no later than 11.30am.

The first bowl was delivered by Mike Slade on 7th April and the Armstrong Cup was played on four rinks with another rink being used to train a brand new member.

Thank you!

Thank you to all the club members who came along to Tidy up inside and out. We had members on the roof, clearing gutters, around the back cutting back, sweeping, cleaning, washing, painting, refurbishing tired notice boards, weeding - the list goes on. A great effort by all concerned.
